Solar Asia
Conversations with the people building Asia’s clean energy abundant future.

Inside the Front Lines of Solar
Solar Asia is an interview-driven media project featuring the people who actually do the work in Asia’s solar industry: project developers, operators, and technical experts.
Asia is the center of global solar growth. Based in Tokyo, Solar Asia documents how it’s being built on the ground.
"Asia isn’t a side story in solar. It is the main story.”

Why Solar?
I chose solar because, at scale, it’s the obvious answer. The Sun is the largest energy source we have, by orders of magnitude. Every other energy source is limited by fuel, complexity, or geography. Solar isn’t.
Why Asia?
I’m based in Tokyo, and because Asia is where the future of energy is being decided. China is building solar at a scale and speed the world has never seen. Japan is solving hard problems around land constraints, grid stability, and reliability. And across Southeast Asia, solar isn’t just about decarbonization. It’s about access, resilience, and lifting people out of poverty. Asia isn’t a side story in solar. It is the main story.
The Mission
The mission of this show is simple: to raise awareness that energy abundance, is the foundation for solving a lot of the world’s problems. Clean water, economic growth, education, healthcare, climate resilience. None of it works without cheap, reliable power. This show isn’t about hype or predictions. It’s about people, projects, and real systems that are already working.Solar Asia is about understanding where energy is actually going, who’s building it, and why it matters, starting here, in Asia.
